dreamy, romantic, summer Vermont.

It's always much easier to wake up super early in the morning when the reward is Vermont. Woke up around 3 a.m., hopped in the car, put some good music on and off we went! Here's some of my favorite snaps from the day!

We started with piecasso as soon as we made it to Vermont, which was delicious as always. We then headed to moss glen falls, one of our favorite waterfall spots! The water was chilly but seriously refreshing. After hanging for an hour or so, we headed back to he cabin we stayed at during our engagement weekend. Our our way, it started down pouring and we got to see a beautiful rainbow.

Went into Morrisville for a cute little date night and then spent the rest of our evening relaxing at the cabin.

DAY TWO

Eased into the day by spending time out in the yard, playing with Charlie and grabbing some breakfast at the Butler's Pantry, one of our favorite spots! After, we decided to take a hike over at Elmore State Park, which was absolutely gorgeous! We have this habit of leaving way too late for hikes and then always end up having to hike out as it's getting dark (or already is dark), but we got out just in time! Everything was beautiful- fresh air, gorgeous sunset, sounds of nature: couldn't ask for anything else!

DAY THREE

How hard could kayaking really be? We asked ourselves... well, a bit harder than we thought! Woke up and decided we would take our try at renting a kayak and giving it a whirl. We headed over to the green river reservoir and plunged in... let's just say we didn't make it as far as we would have liked, but it was a good first try! Even though we weren't out there for long, it was beautiful.

We hung out by the reservoir for a few hours, went swimming and watched Charlie play with his friend, Millie.

We then took a ride into Stowe and took a little stroll along one of the trails in town. After our stroll, we headed back to Piecasso for dinner. Spent the rest of our evening hanging out with some pals alongside a sweet (very toasty) campfire.

When I'm here I feel at peace and happy...

DAY 4

We always try to visit farmer's markets while we're in town, and after all these years we never made it to the market in Stowe, so, today we finally did! We had a great time visiting all of the stands and chit-chatting with people. We managed to snag some yummy veggies, a hand-made leather daily planner, lotions and some tasty lunch sandwiches! Spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at the cabin, soaking in all of the greatness. We decided to stay in a different cabin our last night, so we packed up and drove literally five minutes down the road to this cute tiny red cottage. Upon arrival, we realized it was a goat farm, which was a super cute surprise!

We headed out to a local trail and took a nice stroll through the forest. I really liked the trail because it was full of wildflowers and dark woods and it was just so quiet. Later in the evening I headed outside and attempted to take some shots of the starry night sky.

DAY 5

Always a bummer when you wake up and realize you have to leave, but until next time, sweet Vermont. Spent the morning packing up our stuff and taking last minute photos. We decided to stop at the cider mill before we left, which as always, was awesome!

One day we will call this place our home, and I often look forward to those days.
