Colorado Day 1: June 18, 2013

My dad absolutely loved this state and after being there for a couple days, I can understand why he never wanted to leave. Thanks to my Aunt Althea and my wonderful boyfriend for making this trip happen. I'm seriously so lucky. The following are my favorite shots from this fantastic first day in "Colorful Colorado"...

Flat Irons in the town of Chautauqua; Mission was to hike to the top, it was our first Colorado hike, and boy was is great.
Kevin and I definitely felt the altitude difference during the first part of the hike...
Just some nice folks we met along the way and their precious dogs, especially the blue heeler.
As usual, it was difficult for me to comprehend how gorgeous the forest was, I mean, look at these formations...
Then we were off to Boulder to grab grub as we were both famished. We ate at a place called The Attic, it was delicious.

We drove around in this baby for the week! Inspired me to get my very own!
Everything about this night was perfect. Roasting smores with Aunt Althea, my cousin Billy who I just met for the first time, and the boy I love most. The weather was perfect, what a relaxing night.
A really nice guy we met hiking named Adam snapped this photo. Every time I look at this photo a general rush of happiness overcomes. I love everything about this day. I'm seriously so lucky.
